New Latin Reader, by Albert Harkness, D. Appleton and Co., copyright 1878. Book is in a fabric cover. Aside from a small bookplate sticker at bottom of front free endpaper and hand-written owner inscription on title page, book is remarkably clean and free of markings aside from a few smudges on first few pages, and interior has only minimal age-toning. Binding is tight and square, and text is very tight as well, suggesting minimal use. Fabric cover has a soil stain on front cover (visible in photos), and there are a small edge tear on front endpaper. Remarkably well-preserved for a 145 year old book.
